Hi everyone... I am a High school Italian teacher and I am thinking of using VoiceThread for my thesis idea for my Masters degree... I already have a voicethread account..... Does anybody have suggestions on how to easily get my students accounts.. What if they don't have internal microphones in their computers?

Hi, Would like any ideas for how Voicethread could be incorporated in a unit on Animals/Plants/Habitats....suitable for any or all (with modifications and/or extensions) level K-8-Spanish. Gracias.

finally got the comments on to the VT. Some are more useful than others, but I had to put most of them up ( you know how sensitive 13 year olds can be !!). Let me know how your pupils get on listening - as there are some fast talkers ! I told them to speak slowly and clearly but .....

Is there a way to imbed our voicethreads here? Instead of loading a video?
Not sure...maybe I am not looking around good enough....would like to share some for comments. Or maybe I should just post the URL?

ML Wiesendanger, I think those look GREAT! Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear about the computer problems, we seem to run into the same issues wherever we go! Great job, keep it up. When we return from break, I hope to show these to some of the French teachers I work with.

I just finished my first project with my French 1's. It was a bit ambitious for a 1st project but it was a partial success due to computer issues. Some of the school computers could handle the recordings, some couldn't, some computers allowed my students to save their pictures to their personal drives, others didn't - it is always the same! The students said they enjoyed the project except for the recording issues. If you are interested I have posted 4 of the better voicethreads on my blog: www.lewebpedagogique.com/wiesendanger.

My question is about computer time. Do you only do Voicethreads during school time or do you assume they have a "working" computer at home where they can do some work? I ended up staying late many afternoons so they could use a malfunctioning portable lab I have access to. Does it also depend upon the grade/level of students? I found that about 25% of mine did not come in for extra time and thus didn't finish their project.
