I've found these resources for teacher help:
Voicethread in a Nutshell http://ed.voicethread.com
Great video tutorial at http://dukedigitalinitiative.ning.com/video/2154293:Video:2218
24-page manual at http://www.edsupport.cc/mguhlin/share/uploads/Work/mguhlin_voicehreadtutorial.pdf

I created a mini 2-page version of #3 pdf

I should have included this: http://bvlibrary.wikispaces.com/Caudill+Award
You can see how it looks in the wiki here.

Judy--I gave my school a private site, but when I embedded the VT onto a wiki, it is still accessible. Our tech teacher does a lot of 2.0 stuff and his rules are: 1) First name only 2) Your avatar can not be an actual picture of you but something to represent you. I think that works well!

Hello! I am going to the state capitol (llinois) in a couple of weeks and will be demonstrating VoiceThread in the rotunda. I need to have some handouts. Anybody made up any great handouts that tell about VT? Something short and simple--nothing technical!

I just set up VT's for 5 Reading classes to do book reports. Would love to make them public and get some responses, but my school wants things private. How does your school feel about the privacy issues?

Yes, PowerPoint should work and to save it as a jpg file. I also have used Google Picasa to bring multiple pictures into one picture?

This slide idea show work - you can import a slide. Or, paste several pictures in Paint to make a one and save as jpg.

Does anyone know how to create a single image that is a montage of several images on VT. I've been looking for ways to do this an keep coming up short. Any ideas would be most welcome. I am trying to put several photos in one VT frame that illustrate ways in which we use the ocean for my 5th grade science class.

Started a class on VT today. 8th grade English have plans for reading Romeo & Juliet in groups. We'll see how it works.
